I was totally impressed with what my new stylist picked out for me. She got my style right off the bat.
Here's what my Fix #30 with my new stylist looked like:
1. BC Footwear Band II Foldover Bootie--$90
These are so cute! I have a few pairs of black booties, but none at this height. I think these would look super cute with dresses or jeans.Verdict: Kept
2. Liverpool Maisy Coated Skinny Pant--$78
I've been wanting to try a pair of coated pants. I like that they have a leather-like look to them. These, however, are not the pants I've been looking for. Although the name of these bottoms have the word "pant" in them, they are more like leggings. These were a bit too "Olivia Newton-John in Grease" for me.Verdict: Returned
3. 41Hawthorn Gideon Polka Dot Sweater--$68
I've been wanting this sweater forever! I love the polka dots. I love that it's black-and-white. I love the fit. It's mine!Verdict: Kept (obviously)
4. Market & Spruce Mahinmi Button Down Top--$64
I actually really liked this top. It was soft, and had some interesting detailing. It also came with a cami, because it was a bit sheer in the back.![]() |
Cool detailing on the back. |
Verdict: Returned
5. Donna Morgan Cassidie Jersey Dress--$118
This dress was fantastic! It fit so well, and I loved it. Unfortunately, this is another piece that I know I wouldn't reach for in my closet. I don't wear teal, so I would probably always overlook it to grab for a color that I do wear. It was an amazing dress, but sadly it's going back.Verdict: Returned
Even though I only kept 2/5 pieces, I don't consider this a bust. Every piece was 100% my style. I just try to stay really close to my DYT style. I've found that if I keep something that doesn't fit my style, no matter how much I like it, I just never reach for it. I think my new stylist did a great job, and I'm looking forward to next month!
If you're not familiar with Stitch Fix, it's a service where a stylist will pick out 5 pieces of clothing for you, based on an extensive profile that you complete. You pay $20 for the service, but if you keep something, that $20 will be deducted from your bill. If you purchase all 5 pieces, you receive a 25% discount.
If you would like to give it a try, here's my referral link. If you use my link, I'll get $25 toward my next Fix.
Happy Shopping!
