Stitch Fix #32 Review--December 2016

Happy Holidays, everyone! Although there's no snow in Pennsylvania yet, that's okay by me. I've got my house all decorated and am starting to get into the Christmas spirit.

I just got my December Fix, and I hate to be a Grinch, but "buh, humbug!" I'm not super impressed with my Fix this month. I have a feeling that, with my Fix coming right after the Thanksgiving holiday, inventory was a little low, because this Fix didn't seem to make much sense. The pieces just seemed random.

See if you agree:

1. LNA Herris Textured Cardigan--$154
2. Just Black Bella Button Up Skinny Jean--$88

I received an email from Stitch Fix that they now carry the brand LNA. I have a few LNA pieces that I got from Lyon + Post, so I specifically asked for an LNA piece. Although this cardigan was very soft, I'm not really a big fan of the cocoon cardigan style. Plus, I already have a cozy, long black cardigan that I got a few years ago from Golden Tote, so back this goes.

The Just Black Bella skinny jeans fit great and were comfy. I liked that they were high-waisted (because you know, it's the holidays), but how many pairs of black skinny jeans does a girl need.

Verdict: Both Returned

3. Market & Spruce Wilco Solid Quilted Vest--$68

I liked the green color of this vest, but I'm just not a vest person. I have a North Face one that I wear in the winter, but that's more for function than fashion. This vest was very thin, and would have been better for fall. This wasn't substantial enough for a PA winter.

Verdict: Returned

4. Skies are Blue Kaya Lace Front Blouse--$54

As much as I'm not a vest person, I'm really not a lace person either. This top was meh. Also, since it's short sleeved, I didn't see being able to really wear this very much this winter.

Verdict: Returned

5. Market & Spruce Evella Boatneck Top--$64

This was another one of those pieces that left me wondering why I got a spring top in my December Fix. I would have probably sent this back, but I didn't want to lose my $20 styling fee, so I kept this, even though I can't wear it until spring. I can see me wearing this with some boyfriend jeans and sneakers. But not until April, so I'll just pack it away until the weather gets warmer.

Verdict: Kept

This Fix seemed like a bit of a mish-mash to me. I'm chalking it up to low inventory at the time my stylist was trying to create my Fix. From my previous experience as a Stitch Fix stylist, I know how low the inventory can be around the holidays, so I'm going to cut her a break.

If you're not familiar with Stitch Fix, it's a service where a stylist will pick out 5 pieces of clothing for you, based on an extensive profile that you complete. You pay $20 for the service, but if you keep something, that $20 will be deducted from your bill. If you purchase all 5 pieces, you receive a 25% discount.

If you would like to give it a try, here's my referral link. If you use my link, I'll get $25 toward my next Fix.

Happy Shopping!
