Lyon + Post Review #2--August 2016

This is my second Lyon + Post review for August! I'm still a little frustrated with the inventory issues. Many of my top choices are waitlisted, so I'm getting pieces pretty far down in my queue. Plus, with summer quickly coming to an end, I'm adding more fall pieces to my queue, without having the opportunity to try my summer picks.

If you're not familiar with how Lyon + Post works, here's the scoop:

Add clothing to your "queue," from the closet of items that they have on their site, and the top 4 pieces in your queue will get sent to you. You have a week to try them on, and decide what you want to keep, then just ship the rest back in the prepaid envelope. After they receive your return, you are charged for what you keep, then the next 4 items in your queue are sent to you.

You can filter the closet by size, price, type of clothing, brand, etc. The prices of the clothing range from less than $50 all the way up to $350+. I limit my range to under $200, because I don't want to see things that I know I can't afford, and that I'll (of course) love.

If you'd like to give L+P a try, here's my referral link. You'll get $30 off your first purchase, and I'll get $30 off as well.

Here are my picks for August:

1. Amour Vert Angela Top--$98

I just got the sleeveless version of this top in a previous L+P shipment. It's super flattering, and I wear it all the time. So, I thought I would try the long-sleeved version. This is flattering as well, but I have too many black tops, and don't really need another one, so it's going back.

Verdict: Returned

2. Velvet by Graham & Spencer Amya Waffle Knit Top--$108

This top was super soft, but for the price for a basic white top, I'm going to pass.

Verdict: Returned

3. BB Dakota Radford Ponte Dress--$92

This is a great basic black dress, and would be great for fall. It could really be dressed up or down. However, I just got a black dress in a previous shipment, so I really couldn't justify getting another similar dress. Sadly, this is going back.

Verdict: Returned

4. Raoul Madison Dress--$136.85

That part above where I mentioned I didn't need another black dress, scratch that. This dress is A-MAZ-ING! It is so well-constructed, and flattering. I felt like an edgy Audrey Hepburn in this. Oh, and it has pockets!

Here's a close-up of the bodice:
Although I LOVED this dress, I really don't have an occasion to wear this right now.

Verdict: Regrettably returned

It's not that this was a bad shipment, I just already had a lot of similar pieces, and I'm being really picky about things that I keep. If you're interested in trying out Lyon + Post, here's  here's my referral link to try it out. Happy shopping!
