Stitch Fix Men Review #1--September 2016

And now for something completely different...

I had signed my husband up for the beta version of Stitch Fix for men back in June. Shockingly, he actually found some jeans he liked that were his first pair of designer jeans. Since our first experience was a positive one, I signed him up to receive a box every quarter. I was definitely more excited than him to see what he got in his September Fix!
Stitch Fix definitely switched up their marketing to fit their new audience. Much more masculine than the women's box.

Stitch Fix Men is now out of beta and up and running, so if you're interested in signing up your man, you can do it here (<---referral link). Stitch Fix for men works exactly the same as women's Stitch Fix. A stylist will pick out 5 pieces of clothing for you, based on an extensive profile that you complete. You pay $20 for the service, but if you keep something, that $20 will be deducted from your bill. If you purchase all 5 pieces, you receive a 25% discount.

My husband is a pretty standard jeans and t-shirt kind of guy, so I'm (gently) trying to get him out of his comfort zone.

On to his September Fix:

 1. Mavi Antelope Textured Shirt--$58

I told him to look pensive. I think he nailed it.
We both really liked this shirt. It was really soft and it had more of an athletic cut. Usually, with a size large, his shirts fit his shoulders, but are too big down the sides. This one was tapered, which made it really flattering.

Verdict: Kept

2. Ezekiel Vinny Jacket--$59
3. Mavi Zach Straight Leg Pant--$98

This jacket was made of a nylon material, and it was okay. It really wasn't his cup of tea. He has a black leather jacket he wears if he needs a jacket.

I think the description he gave for these pants was "a cheap hotel"...no ball room (*ba da dum*). These were super low rise and tight. They actually didn't look bad, but were too young of a style for him.

Verdict: Both returned

4. Alternative Apparel Marathon Hooded Pullover--$40

I really liked the color of this hoodie. It was such a bright blue. But, again, it just looked a little too young for him, and I don't see him wearing it out, and it was too expensive for him to wear as workout wear.

He was trying for Assassin's Creed in this photo. I told him he looked more like #angryphelpsface.

Verdict: Returned

5. 7 Diamonds Into the Blue Geo Print Shirt--$79
This shirt also had that athletic fit, which was really flattering. We debated about keeping this one, but he just got a short-sleeved button-up shirt in his first Fix, so for the price, we decided to send it back.

Verdict: Returned

Even though this Fix was a 1/5, I don't consider that a bust. He's super picky, so to find more than one thing that he really liked and considered keeping is amazing. I'm slowing expanding his fashion horizons. His next Fix is coming in December, and I asked for some sweaters, and he actually requested some dressy athletic cut tees, so we'll see what we get.

Happy shopping!
