P.S. I still have one more free tote to give away, so if you're interested, shoot me an email at rockermomdiary@gmail.com or post in the comments below.
My sister's style is boho / feminine with a side of grunge, so if you're tired of seeing pieces that are my edgy / glam style, check out some of the other options that are available at Le Tote.
Okay...on to my sister's tote:
It took me over an hour to set up my Le Tote account simply because I liked so many things in every category. I felt the need to find and check every single item I liked, which in hind sight wasn’t at all necessary. Because they have a lot of inventory at the moment, Le Tote gave me the list of items that would be in my Tote with the option to change out any item for something else. I changed out all the items to my absolute favorites in each category. Off to a great start!
This is what I received:
1. BB DAKOTA Flannel Drape Jacket--$49
I love everything about the 90s…the music, the fashion, even the horrid maroon/brown lipstick. I couldn’t be more excited about plaid flannel and Doc Martins making a comeback. This jacket is the perfect mix of the grunge and boho styles that I love so much. The high button snap allows for a more structured look for casual Fridays at the office or the jacket can be left open for a looser fit. The raw fraying edges and too-long sleeves also add to the 90s feel of this piece.
As a side note, Rocker Mom’s daughter would certainly love the grunginess of this jacket too as we share a love of plaid flannel. (RM: that's true.)
Verdict: Definitely keeping it, and wearing it constantly this fall.
2. FRENCH CONNECTION Cap Sleeve Dress--$115
This looks and feels like a very high quality dress, and it’s a great color for fall. The fabric is thick with a soft cotton-like texture and a little bit of stretch. Fit and flare (or skater) style dresses like this are so figure flattering, which is probably why I have so many. If the dress was on sale, I would likely buy it, but I can’t justify paying full price on this one...Plus it’s possible that I may have found it elsewhere on sale.
Verdict: Reluctantly sending back
3. KENSIE Winona Knit Tunic Dress--$39 (on sale)
I really love all the draping and cowl neck on this boho style tunic. I was happily surprised that it is long enough to be worn as a dress as well. This is a versatile piece that could be dressed up or down by wearing it with heels or boots. In the fall/winter, it would look cute with colored tights or leggings as well. My only complaint about this piece is that I wish it was a little more fitted under the bust. It may look better with a high waist belt. My fiancĂ© believes that I am addicted to high waist belts, so please take that advice with a grain of salt. I’m showing you photos of both.

4. Summer & Sage LTD Leaf Wire Earrings--$16
My tote arrived yesterday, and I’m already wearing these earrings. They are lightweight and just the right length. They’re also perfect to wear with studs if you have multiple ear piercings. Since they are fashion earrings, the quality is a little flimsy, but overall I think the cuteness makes them worth the price.
Verdict: Already mine.
5. CLEMENT Silver Starfish Studs--$14
These are adorable and bear a slight resemblance to the Tiffany starfish studs which obviously come with a much higher price tag. These studs are tiny, which is exactly what I was looking for my multiple ear piercings. They also look cute as an only earring for non-dressy days. I’d love them even more if they were sterling silver, but it’s a good deal for the price.
Verdict: Keep. Too adorable to resist.
I purchased 4 out of 5 items in my very customized tote. If I had purchased the 5th item, my next tote would be free. Sadly, I’ve realized that I could easily go bankrupt with such cute clothes and accessories showing up at my door every couple of weeks, so I’ve decided to cancel my Le Tote account for now.
Le Tote is definitely a fun way to update your wardrobe if you’re too busy to go shopping. I liked being able to choose all my items. I’m not sure that I would have liked Le Tote’s original selections for me quite as much. I think if pricing had been provided when I selected my items, I may have made some different choices, except for the flannel jacket of course. Overall, it was a good experience, and I gained some nice additions to my fall wardrobe. Thanks again Rocker Mom for the free tote!
