Lyon + Post Review--October 2016

Happy October! As the weather starts to change, I'm switching gears into cozy fall mode. I changed up my Lyon + Post queue from strappy tank tops to sweaters and jackets. Here is my transition shipment from summer to fall. I did have a mix of both in this box.

Here's my latest box:

1. Jack by BB Dakota Madera Wrap Coat--$72

This was a really cozy, warm coat, and for the price it was a great piece. It looked so crisp and wintery, but I couldn't get over the fact that it's white. I felt like I was getting it dirty just breathing on it. In fact, I was getting nervous just taking this photo. I quickly took it off and put it back in the box before my cat got his black fur all over it.

Verdict: Returned

2. Just Female Ikat Dress--$78.50

I got this same dress in a similar print a few shipments back. This is a cute dress, but it's just too much fabric and I felt a bit bulky.

Verdict: Returned

3. Joie Onalee Dress--$199

This dress was super comfy and came with a slip attached to it. Unfortunately, it was too short for me to feel comfortable wearing it, and when I looked at the photo online of this dress, I think it was supposed to have a belt. So, for the price, it just wasn't worth it. Especially, if it's missing its belt.

Verdict: Returned

4. The Kooples Trench Coat w/ Leather Details--$238

So, I broke my own rule of keeping my price range under $200, and this is why. When I saw this coat on the website, I had to try it. It's a great, well-made trench and has real leather detailing. This is the perfect staple that I can wear as a transition coat into fall, as well as into the spring. Plus, I can wear it to work or for a night out. As you may have guessed, this was a keeper.

Verdict: Kept

The selections for Lyon + Post are still slim, because so many things are waitlisted, but there's no fee for the service, so it doesn't hurt to try pieces that I may have not tried otherwise.

If you would like to try Lyon + Post, here's the deal:

Add clothing to your "queue," from the closet of items that they have on their site, and the top 4 pieces in your queue will get sent to you. You have a week to try them on, and decide what you want to keep, then just ship the rest back in the prepaid envelope. After they receive your return, you are charged for what you keep, then the next 4 items in your queue are sent to you.

You can filter the closet by size, price, type of clothing, brand, etc. The prices of the clothing range from less than $50 all the way up to $350+. I limit my range to under $200, because I don't want to see things that I know I can't afford, and that I'll (of course) love.

If you'd like to give L+P a try, here's my referral link. You'll get $30 off your first purchase, and I'll get $30 off as well.

Happy Shopping!
